  • Where do we meet the guide?
    All tours start at Legislative Plaza in Downtown Nashville located at 301 6th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37243. Your guide will be easy to find, wearing a Puppet City Tours badge.
  • Where may we park?
    Nashville has several metered parking and parking garages during the day close to the meeting spot. We recommend parking at the Capitol Building (free on the weekend) and on Deaderick Street, Union Street, and 7th Ave N.
  • How long are the tours?
    We will walk and have stops for storytelling. The tour lasts an hour.
  • Where does the tour end?
    The tour will conclude at The Ryman Auditorium at 4th and Broadway.
  • How long is the walk on the tour?
    The total walk around downtown is 3/4 of a mile. It is an easy and a managable walk with only one small hill. The route is stroller and wheelchair accessable as well. The guide will walk at an easy pace.
  • What will we see on our tour?
    Our stops include views of Legislative Plaza, The Tennessee State Capitol, The Hermitage Hotel, Downtown Presbyterian Church, St. Mary of the Seven Sorrows, and the Ryman Auditorium.
  • Is this tour good for kids?
    Puppet City Tours are the best for kids and are family-friendly. However, guests of all ages enjoy our tours. There will be storytelling and historical information shared on some of the most prominant landmarks in Downtown Nashville.
  • May we take pictures?
    Absolutley! We encourage pictures of the sites and our a fun energetic puppet. We will also allow time for your family to pose with our puppet at the end of the tour.
  • Do we have to purchase tickets in advance?
    Yes. Please book online on our website. You may purchase tickets up to 4 hours in advance. Our guide will check everyone in at the start of the tour.
  • May we get a refund or reschedule our tickets?
    Once tickets are purchased, we will be happy to assist in rebooking another date and time based on availalbity. We will refund tickets due to inlcement weather if you are unable to rebook the tour.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We will honor cancellations up to 24 hours before the tour start time. If we need to cancel the tour we will offer a full refund of the ticket price.
  • What if it rains?
    If there is heavy rain, we will offer a time to reschedule or a full ticket refund. Unfortunately, our puppets are not waterproof!
  • Are private tours available?
    Yes! We are more than happy to discuss and plan a private tour. We find private tours are perfect for field trips for scouts, community groups, church groups, school trips or even a large family get together. Please feel free to contact us to discuss pricing and availabilty.
  • Do the guides accept gratuites?
    Yes. Our guides are not only local expert tour guides but also trained puppeteers. If you enjoyed your tour, our guides will appreciate any and all tips.
